Frank Siller From Tunnel to Towers: Who Is He? An Examination Of His Foundation’s Work With 9/11 Responders

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s chairman and chief executive officer is Frank Siller. In memory of Stephen Siller, a New York Fire Department firefighter who perished on September 11, 2001 as a result of the terrorist attacks that day, the Tunnel to Tower Foundation was established. According to Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c), the foundation is a charity organization that is exempt from paying taxes.

Siller will be honored with USMC Staff Sergeant Johnny Joey Jones (Ret.), a commentator who has also received the Purple Heart, for his outstanding service this year. The organization constructs adaptable houses around the nation through its Smart Home Program for armed service personnel who have suffered severe injuries.

Sgt. Brendan Marrocco accepted Siller’s offer to have a smart home built for him at Walter Reed while he was still serving in the United States Army. Marrocco was the first person to survive despite losing all four of his limbs in battle. The Tunnel to Towers Smart Home Program was launched in 2011, not long after the building of Marrocco’s house was finished.

According to Siller, the country’s injured service members can reclaim their everyday freedom thanks to the smart homes. He is thrilled to receive the Genesis Legacy Medal from the National Purple Heart Honor Mission in appreciation of the Foundation’s work supporting those soldiers who gave so much so that we can continue to enjoy the freedoms we take for granted every day.

According to the movie Tunnel to Towers, who is Frank Siller?

Frank Siller, the chairman and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, explains how the organization came to be in honor of Stephen Siller, Frank’s younger brother and a firefighter for the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), who died on September 11, 2001.

He has a distinct memory of getting ready to play a round of golf with his brothers on the morning of September 11. Stephen, a firefighter with Brooklyn’s Squad 1 of the New York City Fire Department, had just concluded his shift and was heading home to meet his three brothers.

Since he was a little child, Frank Siller has attended church services at Blessed Sacrament on Staten Island. He visits there even now. He never misses going to Mass with his family on Sundays, and they always sit in the same row.

This serves as one example of the crucial role that Siller’s and his siblings’ practice of their Catholic religion plays in their day-to-day lives as they seek to further the mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Siller is 68 years old.

They started the foundation in memory of their younger brother Stephen, a firefighter for the City of New York Fire Department who devoted his life in the line of duty during the deadliest terrorist attack to ever occur on American soil on September 11, 2001, in the goal of saving the lives of others.

Additionally, mortgage-free homes are given to Gold Star families who lost a loved one while serving their country as well as surviving families of slain first responders thanks to the kindness of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The organization plans to provide 450 homes without requiring mortgages from its grantees by the end of 2021.

What is the current net worth and yearly salary of Frank Siller?

Siller has dedicated every waking hour of his life to his position as the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer. He founded his charity organization with the goal of helping those who lost loved ones in the September 11 attacks.

On the 20th anniversary of the tragic incident, he reportedly walked more than 500 kilometers in honor of his brother’s sacrifice and the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Each year, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation organizes a number of events.

Despite having a million dollar net worth, Frank donates a significant sum of money to the foundation and other charities. His organization has already provided military troops, first responders, and the families of those who have served our country with more than $250 million in relief and recognition.

Numerous newspaper and magazine stories have been written about Frank’s dedication and selfless deeds. In addition, he has made several appearances on talk shows, using the opportunity to promote the activities of the organization. The priest described Frank Siller’s dedication to the foundation as “nearly apostolic.” He is a guy of strength and character, and he will work hard to see that this endeavor is upheld.

Siller claims that it is possible for the organization to function because of the generosity of the general public. Instead of corporate donations, it is supported by one-dollar monthly payments from individual donors. He said that everyone should do something to support our firefighters and law enforcement personnel since they put their lives in danger for us. Those that contribute $11 a month to the foundation are able to claim, “My $11 a month caused that,” after seeing the effects their money had.

What Happened to Stephen Siller, the Senior Brother of Frank Siller?

Frank Siller recalls watching television at the kitchen table with his siblings and other family members on September 11, 2001. Stephen, the younger brother of Frank, wouldn’t be returning from his job at the World Trade Center, and they were learning to accept it.

Stephen, who was 34 at the time, had to go to work, thus the brothers were unable to go golfing that day.

When a Brooklyn-based Squad 1 firefighter from New York City heard what was happening while returning from a night shift, he turned around and started back toward the twin buildings.

Despite the fact that his brother’s body was never discovered among the wreckage, Frank claimed to have a firm conviction that his sibling died as a result of the south tower’s fall.

Frank is walking the 537 miles that make up the Never Forget Walk from the Pentagon to the World Trade Center over the period of six weeks in honor of Stephen and all of the others who perished on that day and in the years that followed as a result of cancers brought on by their work at ground zero.

This project’s completion will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which Frank and his family established in Stephen’s honor.

Family Of Frank Siller

Frank Siller, the seventh of Mae and George Siller’s seven children, had a contented childhood with his six beloved siblings.

Stephen Siller, the youngest of the Siller siblings, lost his father when he was just eight years old. The children were left to raise themselves after their mother passed away after another year and a half.

Although the family’s early years were challenging, the love and affection they shared and the values their parents instilled in them allowed each member of the group to develop into a wonderful person.

Frank and his siblings learned the teachings of St. Francis of Assisi from an early age because their parents were devoted members of the Franciscan order. Stephen, Janis Hannan, George Siller, Mary Scullin, Russell Siller, and Regina Vogt are among his siblings.

Personal Life

Firefighter Stephen Gerard Siller was the youngest of Mae and George Siller’s seven children. At the age of eight, Stephen lost his mother, and a year and a half later, his elder siblings were left to care for him as an orphan. Stephen struggled for a while, but because to the love of his siblings and the values preserved by his parents, he was able to develop into an extraordinary person and loyal fireman. He was more conscious than others that time was short, and he accomplished a lot in his 34 years.

When an aircraft struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, Stephen, who had been assigned to Brooklyn’s Squad 1 for that day, had just finished his shift and was leaving for the golf course with his brothers. As soon as he heard the news, Stephen called his wife Sally and asked her to tell his brothers that he would catch up with them later. To get his belongings, he returned to Squad 1.

As Stephen pulled his truck up to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel entrance, it was already locked for security reasons. He carried 60 pounds of gear on his back as he ran through the tunnel and up to the Twin Towers, where he gave his life defending others.

Stephen had everything to live for: a fantastic wife, five wonderful kids, a warm extended family, and devoted friends. Stephen was inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, whose advice to “while we have time, let us do good” became a way of life for him. Stephen was reared by lay Franciscan parents. Living life to the fullest and making the most of our time on Earth while we still have it is Stephen’s legacy. Stephen died valiantly.

There were a few more on September 11, just like before, according to author and family friend Jay Price in his book “Every Momentous Event, Even a Tragedy Has Its Symbolic Figures.” Father Mychal Judge, Rudy Giuliani, the four boys on United Flight 93, and thousands more. There is none greater than Stephen Siller, whose reputation keeps growing as New Yorkers and people from all over the world imitate him.
