Mr. Harrigan’s Phone 2 Release Date
On October 5, 2022, Netflix will release the global premiere of “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone.” Here’s what we can share with you on the sequel’s potential.
The sequel to “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” hasn’t yet received a response from Netflix or the movie’s creators. It doesn’t necessary follow, though, that the sequel won’t occur at all. The story could have been continued after the movie’s conclusion. After Deane Whitmore’s death, Craig realises the risks of remaining in contact with Harrigan, so he throws away his phone but maintains his replacement with the same number. Through Craig’s new phone, Harrigan might get in touch with his friend, and the prospective follow-up could focus on the businessman’s entrance back into Craig’s life.
Furthermore, despite the fact that Harrigan wants Craig to accept his death and move on from him, he doesn’t second-guess his decision to defend Craig. Even if it results in additional deaths, Harrigan might assist Craig again if he finds himself in a dire situation that could endanger his life. If the movie gets a sequel, it might show Craig’s attempts to become a screenwriter and Harrigan defending him because he understands how dangerous the movie business can be. Furthermore, since Harrigan can message someone else from his murky past, the prospective sequel need not even follow Craig.
The film makes cryptic and vague references to Harrigan’s history. It is clear that the businessman’s life was full of adventure before moving to Harlow. The potential follow-up may introduce a character from his past and show how they reconnected with Harrigan via the latter’s phone. Since Stephen King didn’t create a sequel to the original novella, John Lee Hancock, a director and screenwriter, might come up with a unique story for the potential film. A sequel to the movie is definitely a possibility, and if it receives quick approval, we may anticipate the release of “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” somewhere in Q4 2024 or later.
More than any other genre, horror movies have had more of their sequels approved over time. The increasing popularity of sequels to well-known horror movies, as evidenced by “It Chapter Two,” “Terrifier 2,” “A Quiet Place Part II,” the 2022 movie “Scream,” etc., shows that Hancock’s film does have a potential to obtain a narrative continuation. If not, Netflix and the movie’s creators might work together once more to propose approving an original movie based on another novella from King’s collection “If It Bleeds,” which also contains the story that serves as the inspiration for “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone.”

What Does C C C aa, a a. C C C x, and C C C s T Mean in Mr. Harrigan’s Phone?
Craig receives three texts from Harrigan’s phone following her passing. The moment the businessman passes away, he hears “C C C aa” on the phone. The following message, “a a. C C C x,” is received following the passing of Craig’s bully Kenny Yankovich. Following the passing of Deane Whitmore, who accidentally killed his cherished teacher Ms. Hart, Craig is given the third letter, “C C C s T.” When Craig receives the third message, he puts the pieces together and realises that “C C C s T” stands for “Craig Stop,” indicating that Harrigan wishes to end their peculiar and important relationship.
The third message may be Harrigan’s way of reminding Craig that in order for him to accept the old man’s passing and move on from it, he needs to quit their unhealthy and unnatural connection. Harrigan may not want his reader to feel the sorrow of missing him, and the old man must be anticipating Craig to let go of him so that he, too, can finally embrace death and rest, as Craig suggests toward the end of the movie. The first two messages can be decrypted in the same way that Craig decodes the third message.
The first message, “C C C aa,” could be interpreted as “Craig ask anything,” expressing Harrigan’s desire to take care of him. Craig and Harrigan have supported one another as they have dealt with their shared sadness at the loss of their mother over the years. Such emotional support comes to an abrupt stop with Harrigan’s untimely demise. If a spirit of Harrigan is responsible for the texts, he might wish to reach out to Craig and lend a hand so that the latter doesn’t feel abandoned and emotionally alone. Since Craig gets the same response when he asks if Harrigan was the one to save him from Kenny by killing the bully, the second message, “a a. C C C x,” may be a confirmation of the first.
However, these are merely a few of the many potential explanations for the text messages, not their intended meaning. Stephen King gave an evasive answer to the question of whether Harrigan told Craig to halt all three times when the original novella’s admirer questioned him about it. Craig, halt. It’s also plausible that “C C C aa,” “a a. C C C x,” and “C C C s T” all refer to “Craig stop,” denoting the same thing. The sound or scream Harrigan makes in response to Craig’s refusal to accept the businessman’s death and move on from him may be heard in the first two messages as “aa/a a.”
Craig must be preventing Harrigan from at last finding calm by talking to him nonstop and aspiring his requests to be granted. The texts might be Harrigan’s way of telling the youngster that he shouldn’t count on him to be there for him.
