Quarterback Justin Fields In Need Of Strong Motivation To Play In The Fantasy League 2022

The Chicago Bears sprung a surprise on the NFL by defeating the San Francisco 49ers at home on Sunday with a score of 19 unanswered points.

The quarterback, Justin Fields, had a key role in this victory’s comeback. While playing in the pouring rain, Fields only attempted 17 throws, completing just eight of them for 127 yards.

The 51-yard bomb to wide receiver Dante Pettis, which gave San Francisco a 10-7 victory, stands out among those important throws, according to Fox News.

He briefly played for Georgia before moving on to Ohio State, where he played in the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship and twice won the Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year award.

Justin Fields, a former quarterback for Ohio State, asserted that despite being initially diagnosed with epilepsy in the ninth grade, the neurological ailment had not hindered his ability to continue a football career.

Fields stressed that he has not missed a game or practice since getting treatment for the medical issue and that he follows a strict medication schedule to keep healthy. Early years

He accumulated 4,187 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, 2,096 running yards, and 28 rushing touchdowns in his two seasons as Harrison’s starting quarterback. He attended the Elite 11 quarterback competition in the summer of 2017 and won the competition’s MVP award. He broke his finger in a game that was nationally broadcast on ESPN late in his senior year, necessitating season-ending surgery. He was named first-team all-state and Mr. Georgia Football by the Touchdown Club of Atlanta following his senior campaign. Fields was a standout baseball player for Harrison High in addition to playing football.

Professional career

Fields, one of the top quarterback prospects in the draft, was selected among the first five picks. On June 10, 2021, he agreed to a four-year rookie deal with a $18.8 million fully guaranteed salary.

2021

Despite being listed as Andy Dalton’s backup quarterback, Fields actually made his NFL debut against the Los Angeles Rams in the season opener, playing four plays. In the 14-34 loss, he had a five-yard rushing touchdown and two completions for 10 yards. Fields joined the game in the third quarter when Dalton went down with a knee injury during a Week 2 showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals. Fields ran for 31 yards and completed six of 13 throws for 60 yards and one interception as the Bears defeated the opposition 20-17. Dalton was still out with his injury, therefore he was named the starting for the Cleveland Browns game the next week. In his first game as a starter, he was sacked nine times, including four and a half by defensive end Myles Garrett, while only completing six of his 20 throws for 68 yards. The Bears defeated 6-26 despite having 47 yards of total offense.

The next week, Fields earned his first career start in a 24-14 victory over the Detroit Lions. For a total of 209 yards and one interception off a deflected pass, he completed 11 of his 17 passes. Fields led the Bears to a 20-9 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5 after being designated the team’s starting quarterback for the remainder of the season. He completed 12 of 20 passes for 111 yards and threw his first touchdown pass to tight end Jesper Horsted. Fields had five turnovers in Week 7’s loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including three interceptions and two lost fumbles. The following week, Fields faced off against the San Francisco 49ers and recorded his first 100-yard rushing performance. He also threw for 175 yards and a touchdown. Nevertheless, Fields threw an interception on the Bears’ final possession, and the game ended in a 22-33 loss. Fields threw for a career-high 291 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football the following week, but despite the Bears rebounding to take a 27-26 lead in the final frame, the Steelers pulled away to defeat them 27-29.

Fields left the game in the third quarter of Week 11’s game against the Baltimore Ravens due to a rib injury. In the 13-16 defeat, Dalton took his position. Fields will not play in the Bears’ subsequent two games due to several damaged ribs, it was revealed after the game. He came back in a defeat against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14, but an ankle injury in the Minnesota Vikings loss the following week kept him out for a further two contests. Prior to the season’s conclusion, Fields tested positive for COVID-19, making the game in Week 15 his final of his rookie campaign. The most among rookie quarterbacks, he concluded the season with 420 quarterback rushing yards in fifth place, but he also had the third-most quarterback fumbles (12) and the second-most lost fumbles (5).

2022

Fields completed 8 of 17 passes for 121 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in Week 1’s 19-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. He also ran for 28 yards.
