He competed in the state Concurso Academico Spanish contests in 2015 and 2016 and spent four years on the Sycamore MATHCOUNTS team.

,In Indiana, this semester has been particularly tragic for college students who pass away. fatal vehicle accident involving Indiana State football players. Two months ago, a senior at IU was died after being raped. A recent IU graduate who was drunk ran over and murdered the IU junior who was riding a scooter in Btown. And this. What a terrible tragedy that has no purpose. A young man who had his entire life ahead of him was denied it because of… for what, even? One cannot help but question if the institution could have taken action if there had been any indication that this roommate may pose a threat to himself or others.
