Who Are Marcus and Jane Buckingham? Meet Lilia Buckingham Parents
On April 9, 2003, in Los Angeles, California, Marcus and Jane Ruth Buckingham welcomed their daughter Lillia into the world. Her parents are writers as well.
Marcus is a business consultant, motivational speaker, and author with British roots. First, Break All the Rules (1999), and StandOut 2.0 are just a few of the works he has written. Jane is the author of The Modern Girl’s Guide to Life and The Modern Girl’s Guide to Sticky Situations.
A story written by Jane titled “Four Seconds of Fame” on Lilia and her family’s experience when she unexpectedly rose to fame was released on HuffPost in May 2013.
Marcus was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and raised in the Hertfordshire village of Radlett. At Allied Breweries, his father served as the personnel director.
Beginning to struggle with his stammer, Buckingham asserted that he could not speak until the age of 13. He learned how to handle it and pretended he was speaking to just one person rather than 300 when he had to address other lads in a formal manner at his prep school.
Jane Has Served In Prison Several Times
Buckingham was taken into custody on March 12 for her involvement in a scheme involving the bribery of college admissions.
Buckingham made a $50,000 gift to the Key Worldwide Foundation for College Counseling without her son’s knowledge or consent in order to set up a proctor to take the ACT on her son’s behalf.
Buckingham supplied the proctor an example of her son’s writing for him to replicate and had her son take a practice test in order to give the impression that her son had taken the ACT. In April, Buckingham agreed to file a guilty plea.
American Judge Indira Talwani On October 23, 2019, District Court sentenced Buckingham to a year of probation, a $40,000 fine, and 21 days in jail.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Buckingham was more deeply involved in the fraud’s mechanics than many other parents who were also involved in the case, and they asked for a six-month jail sentence.
They said that by having a proctor take the test in place of her son, she deprived him even the opportunity to correctly answer any questions on his own.
Marcus is a New York Times Best Seller Author
While Buckingham was a Cambridge undergraduate, Donald O. Clifton, the founder of Selection Research, Inc. and a professor of educational psychology, recruited him. Clifton co-founded SRI to aid organizations in identifying talent in people and placing them in suitable places.
SRI acquired The Gallup Organization in 1988 and used the Gallup name. As a Gallup employee, Buckingham participated in a team creating a survey that looked at several factors influencing employee engagement.
First, in response to these surveys and thousands of management interviews, Buckingham and author Curt Coffman released Break All the Rules (Simon and Schuster, 1999). According to its subtitle, the book outlines what the best managers in the world do differently.
The book has sold over a million copies and is currently a best-seller on the New York Times list. It was chosen by Jack Covert and Todd Sattersten as one of “The 100 Best Business Books of All Time” in their book of the same name.

Lilia Buckingham in Hocus Focus 2
In the much awaited “Hocus Pocus 2,” Cassie is Lilia’s newest character. Since “Hocus Pocus” was first released in 1993, people have begged for a sequel, and it has been a popular Halloween movie ever since.
Since the announcement of the sequel, everyone is looking forward to this year’s Halloween season. Fortunately, Buckingham’s big break into Hollywood came considerably later than she had anticipated.
The former actor, who had switched her focus to production by earning a degree in cinema and television, was content to have put the drama on hold in favor of regular college life until she received the call to audition for Hocus Pocus 2.
Along with Whitney Peak of Gossip Girl and Belissa Escobedo of Appeal, Buckingham’s initial submission for the role of Cassie Traske, one of three best friends who band together to save Salem from the Sanderson sisters, was a historic moment in and of itself, but it only marked the start of a taxing seven-round audition process.
Rise To Fame
Lilia worked with well-known Hollywood stars before she reached 20, joined a series with millions of fans, and added a Disney credit to her portfolio.
The newcomer is prudent enough to hold off on getting ahead of herself, even though Buckingham could not have imagined a more ideal official career beginning.
As she continues to develop her art and work toward her next project, Buckingham plans to finish her degree, enjoy the moment, and apply the lessons she learned from the amazing experience.
Young talent wouldn’t just be able to get into Hollywood by playing in an eagerly anticipated Disney sequel with a cast that embodies the epitome of the renowned (Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimi, to mention a few). Because that would be the way, Buckingham made sure to treat it that way.
