Although Laeticia Amihere’s jump in the beginning of 2017 garnered her a lot of attention, she has been dunking the basketball in practice games since she was in the eighth grade. She was therefore rather amused by the sudden amount of attention she was receiving. Others, though, thought it was a truly amazing achievement. It’s a significant deal, according to Lisa Thomaidis, the head coach of Canada’s senior women’s team, therefore she was included in the senior Canadian team that traveled to Spain and France in late May 2017 for a five-game exhibition series.

She has already visited UCLA, UConn, Duke, Maryland, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Stanford, Syracuse, Texas, and Kentucky, among other institutions.
